Active Academy
Any physician who has a current license to practice medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and surgery, issued by the State Medical Board of Ohio, that is in full force and effect at the time of application.

Active Academy/OSMA
Any physician who has a current license to practice medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and surgery, issued by the State Medical Board of Ohio, that is in full force and effect at the time of application, and who also maintains membership in the Ohio State Medical Association. 

Active Academy Part-Time
Any physician who qualifies as an Active Academy member who is working twenty (20) hours per week or less.

Non-Resident
Any physician holding a current license to practice medicine who conducts the major portion of his/her practice outside of Hamilton County.

Retired
Any physician who has been an Active Academy, Active Academy/OSMA, Active Academy Part-Time, or Non-Resident member for a minimum of 10 years and is no longer working and ineligible for those membership categories due to retirement or disability.

Associate
Allied health practitioners holding a current license to practice in Ohio.

Affiliate
Individuals active in the health care field and/or interested in the work of the Academy who are not eligible for other Academy membership.

Postgraduate Trainee
Any physician who has a current license issued by the State Medical Board of Ohio and is enrolled in an approved medical post-graduate training program. Sign up online or download the Postgraduate Trainee Application.

Student
Any person who is enrolled in an approved college of medicine pursuing the degree of doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy.
