Ohio First District Delegation (2004 – 2005)

The First District Delegation, headed by Councilor Marvin Rorick, MD, is a group of physicians chosen to represent their local colleagues at the Annual Meeting of the Ohio State Medical Association House of Delegates. The First District includes the Ohio counties of Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren. Each of these counties is entitled to one delegate for each 100 Academy/OSMA members.

Serving as a delegate or alternate delegate requires attendance at the two-day OSMA Annual Meeting, as well as two planning meeting held prior to the Annual Meeting. The position of delegate/alternate delegate offers an ideal opportunity to learn more about issues such as legislation and cost containment, as well as other important subjects that influence the practice of medicine. Alternate delegates are usually moved up to delegate positions within three years.
