Daniel Drake Humanitarian Award

The Daniel Drake Humanitarian Award was established by the Medical Foundation (now the Academy Foundation) in 1985 to provide recognition to living physicians who have given generously of themselves to their patients and/or the community in which they live. Nominees must have demonstrated a history of keen awareness and selfless dedication to the needs of others. All Academy of Medicine members are eligible to be nominated.

The Foundation Board chooses the recipient and the award is presented at the Academy of Medicine’s annual meeting. This year that will take place during the virtual Annual Meeting Award Celebration on March 3. The Annual meeting has been held as a hybrid event due to COVID-19. Nominations are due by January 13, 2021.
