Free drop-in COVID-19 physician peer support sessions are now available to support physician well-being. Join your physician colleagues and Psychiatrist, Dr. Colleen Opremcak, OPHP's wellness director, via Zoom, to talk about the issues and challenges you’re facing. Sessions will focus on peer support not psychiatric care.

confused guyThe COVID-19 pandemic has caused major disruptions to health care delivery systems and most physician practices. New information is being released each day to assist small businesses and employees.
The Ohio State Medical Association’s Business Support page on its website lists OSMA-sponsored webinars on this topic and updates on several relief programs (including the Federal CARES Act). Changes are being made that are specific to medical practices, and OSMA plans to include new information as it is received.
The American Medical Association also offers COVID-19 practice management guidance.

laptop stethoThe Academy’s Telehealth 101 Webinar, May 19 at 7:00 p.m., is designed to help Cincinnati-area physicians improve the quality of telehealth services; share practical knowledge gained from local, state, and national resources; and provide a forum for exchange of best practices among participants. Telehealth visits have become important tools in caring for patients while trying to keep physicians and their staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. All physicians, whether in office or hospital settings, are under strain during this time of crisis – with varying levels of knowledge and success in implementing telehealth into their practices.

Lessons from the Front Lines calls are a joint effort between CMS Administrator Seema Verma, FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn, MD, and the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Physicians and other clinicians are invited to share their experience, ideas, strategies, and insights with one another related to their COVID-19 response. There is an opportunity to ask questions of presenters.
