Thanks to all who resgistered for the Keeneland Outing. Unfortunately the sold-out event was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic recommendations.

Experience thoroughbred horse racing at its finest in Lexington, Kentucky.
Our group will enjoy a private room (Keeneland Room) on the 5th floor of the grandstand featuring sweeping views of the race track. There is also a private, rooftop outdoor patio for watching the races. Your ticket includes a sumptuous lunch buffet; reserved parking; private bar service (cash bar) & mutuel betting windows; race day program; and afternoon snack.
There are a limited number of tickets available — Academy members and their spouse/significant other – $85.00; Guests of Academy members – $110.00; and non-members – $150.00 — so get your group together and sign up soon.

stetho clipbrdThe Southwest Ohio Internal Medicine Update & Review Course, a board review course providing an intensive review of medicine for physicians preparing for the ABIM initial and recertification examinations, was held over two weekends, February 21-23 & February 28-March 1, at the Kingsgate Hotel & Conference Center. The course also offered an in-depth review with recent updates for physicians and advanced nurse practitioners practicing internal medicine and other disciplines. 
The event was hosted by the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine & UC Health and co-sponsored by the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Physicians & the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati.
Academy of Medicine members were eligible for discounted pricing.

teamwork 220In order to fulfill Academy priorities established by the Council, Work Groups have been created to address the various activities. Work Groups are still reviewing plans for 2020, and you are invited to join them.
Priority Work Groups include: Educational Activities, Physician Wellness, Social Activities, and Political & Professional Advocacy.
Any Academy member is eligible to join a Work Group. The groups meet periodically. Time commitment is minimal. If you are interested, please email Natalie Peterson or call her at 513-484-0156.

 and ideaOn November 7, 2019, the Academy of Medicine will host a Social Event + Educational Program on Contract Negotiation. The program, "How to Negotiate the Best Contract for You," is designed for practicing physicians and physicians in training (residents, fellows).
Join us at MadTree Brewing, 3301 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45209, for a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m., presentations from physicians, a medical practice consultant, and an attorney; panel discussion; and Q & A session.
